Don’t Miss the 10th Annual GABC Gathering

Well folk, it’s that time of year again. The time of year when we start preparing for our annual Fall Gathering. This year is going to be extraordinarily special. This fall marks the 10th year of Georgia Bushcraft, bringing people together to enjoy outdoor skills as a community.

Those who have been attending since our inception have watched the community grow from gathering at Basecamp under Home Depot tarps to hundreds of people sharing their experiences, knowledge, and crafts on the full expanse of the property.

The instructor pool has grown, the vendors are far more numerous, and we now have attendees from all over the country join the festivities. People travel far and wide to take fire classes with instructors like Bushcraft Kelso, go on bug hunts with Joe Flowers, learn blacksmithing with Mark Hopper, give a hand at basketry from Carleigh Fairchild, see galaxies and nebula with Dennis Sprinkle, watch birds of prey hunt with the Georgia Falconers Association or take one of the many Fuel The Fires courses from their impressive team of instructors.

There is something for everyone at the Georgia Bushcraft Gathering, from our mainline vendors such as LT Wright Knives, Smoky Mountain Knife Works, Olde Towne Cutlery, Wazoo Survival Gear, and ESEE Knives to John from Ohio, that brings a wide array of cast iron and military surplus with him. In addition, there are live music acts, food vendors, and families cooking together. Don’t forget your morning Bushcraft Coffee and Georgia Bushcraft T-shirt from the new LTWK Outpost, which also carries the small essentials you might have forgotten from home.

NEW FOR 2022

This year’s Fall Gathering will be our 10th Anniversary which means this will be our biggest and best event ever! We are scheduling even more classes, vendors and learning opportunities than previous years. If you’ve attended a Georgia Bushcraft Gathering before, expect to see much more organization, more items on the raffle table, and more familiar faces plus a bunch of new ones.

We will also need many more volunteers this year, so if you are a dedicated worker and are interested in helping execute and get a behind-the-scenes view of our event, we would love to have you join the team! Minimal hours are required, and attendance fees are waived. Our volunteers always go home happy and well-compensated for their dedication to the community.

All of that being said, an extreme amount of planning and preparation goes along with hosting an event of this proportion. While we have always welcomed the mass amounts of last-minute sign-ups of attendees we get every year, it does make logistics more challenging. For that reason, we are encouraging as many early sign-ups as possible. To show our appreciation for your excitement, understanding, and cooperation, we are extending our Blade Show early sign-up promotion on the Georgia Bushcraft website for a limited time.

We cannot even begin to describe our appreciation for everyone that has made the past ten years possible. We built this community together, we’ve grown together, and the future is brighter than ever. We hope you are as excited as we are to make this the most EPIC Gathering to date. Stay tuned for all of the big news and updates as we get closer and closer to November 4th!

  1. Hello all hope everyone is well. I will be attending my first gathering this year and just wanted to ask about camping setups? Will there be camping from vehicle or woods camping sites . Thanks

    1. Hello Daniel. First off, we’re excited to hear this will be your first Gathering! Second, most of the camping is in the field, but some of the sites are next to the wood line so you can hang a hammock. Just let us know if you have any questions and we can’t wait to meet you in November.
